Q. Can you use a medic card to pull a medic from your graveyard, then use that medic to pull another piece from the graveyard?
A. Yes, that’s what we call a streak and the game encourages that sort of game play.
Q. Can you play a block card out of turn?
A. Yes, the block card can be played at any time, except on the Check Mate card.
Q. Can I use the brave pawn to account for all that pawns needed for the checkmate card?
A. Afraid not. The brave pawn only works with the attack/defense cards.
Q. What happens if I run out of draw cards?
A. If you run out of draw cards, you loose the game, so be careful when burning cards.
Q. Can you combine the drone with the stealth attack?
A. Yes, if you use the drone card, you can see your opponents hard, therefore see what card you wish to stealth attack.
Q. Does burning a card durning your turn count as playing 1 of your 3 goes?
A. Yes.
Q. When do you pick up cards so your hand equals 7?
A. Playing a card out of turn I.e. the block or defense card, you can pick up immediately after. During your turn, you pick up after you have played all your turns.
Do you need a chess board to play this game?
Nope, no chess board or anything external is required to play Chess-a-tete.
Q. What is a streak?
A. A streak is where you play multiple actions in a single turn. For example, you play the second chance to bring back a medic, the medic brings back the support card, which lands you the en-passant which allows you to kill an apposing pawn. All those actions still count as a single turn.
