Chess-à-Tête was designed to be quick to pick up and play. With just a five-fold instruction booklet and many of the actions written directly on the cards, it doesn’t take long to learn the rules and get started. As you play more, the strategy begins to reveal itself — knowing what to play and when is key. And with a mix of tactical choices and luck of the draw, no two games ever play out the same way.
 

You don’t need to be good at chess to be great at Chess-à-Tête — in fact, you don’t even need to know how to play chess at all! Chess-à-Tête stands on its own with unique mechanics and a completely original style of play.
 

We couldn’t cover every possible scenario in our compact rule booklet, but we’ve added extra guidance to our FAQ for situations that might come up during play. If you don’t find your answer there, feel free to get in touch with us!
